Enjoy a cool breeze and fish off the porch while dining or hosting a party or educational event. There are two restaurant booths along with plenty of comfortable seating a the granite countertop or on couches overlooking the peaceful lake and listening to the waterfalls. Best of all, there is a misting system to help cool the air on those hot days and the fishing is awesome. There is an eight-foot porch around the balance of the lodge to ensure that guests are under cover during rainstorms.

The fishing is awesome

We built the lake (40 feet deep) in 2016 and with the assistance of several North Texas fish experts we designed it for maximum northern wide-mouth bass growth and when the lake filled in April of 2017 we stocked it with 15,000 bass, channel catfish, redear, bluegill and fathead minnow. By Dec 2018, the original bass were approaching two pounds and the catfish were nearly three pounds. There are a number of openings cut down through the forest to the lake to provide access to 1,500 feet of shoreline in the trees. Pea gravel spawing beds are located around the lake as well as large rock piled to the depths of the lake.
